These heavily armored vehicles use wheels, treads, powered legs, or repulsorlifts to move about the battlefield. Although not maneuverable, they pack incredible firepower and can safely transport small teams of troops into hostile territory. The Trade Federation uses AAT‑1s propelled by heavy repulsorlifts on the front lines of a battlefield to soften up the enemy before deploying waves of battle droids.
