C-3PO

The gleaming golden protocol droid C-3PO is typical of his model: outspoken, fussy, and even a bit high-strung. But since these qualities hardly interfere with his work, his personality quirks are mostly tolerated. Threepio is unusual in that he was not manufactured by Cybot Galactica, like most protocol droids. He was, in fact, assembled from spare parts by young Anakin Skywalker on the remote planet of Tatooine. Still, Threepio meets all the safety and performance standards of the original manufacturer, so he has managed to serve several masters adequately.
