DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System
Rifle (Special)
Galaxy at War, page 39.
Cost: 4,500 Weight: 5kg Availability: Military

When the ICWS is changed to sniper-rifle mode, the weapon includes a targeting scope, so there is no penalty to attacks at short range. However, the wielder takes a −2 penalty against targets at unmodified point blank rage. The sniper rifle deals 3d10 energy damage and can only fire single-shots.

Anti-armor ammunition costs 400 per shell and each shell weighs 1kg. The grenade deals 4d6 slsahing damage.
Unofficial Errata: There is no official errata that resolves the conflict between the different power requirements between the blaster rifle (50 shots) and the sniper rifle (10 shots). It therefore suggested that anytime the weapon is converted from basic mode to sniper mode, you divide the current number of remaining shots by 5 and round down. When switching from sniper mode to basic mode, multiply the current number of shots by 5. The loss of power can be explained as inefficiency of switching modes. As always, work with your GM to do whatever is best for your gaming experience.
